Experience the art of Tony Nero Part of Peterborough Artist Open Studios Exhibition9-10, 16-17 and 23-24 June 2012 Shine, 42 Park Road My work was recently described by a fellow artist, as being so diverse it is impossible to pigeonhole. A compliment I embrace dearly. I work with various different mediums including pencils, oils, pastels and watercolour. My art is mainly self-taught but I undertook some formal training at the London Guildhall University and spent most of my career as a graphic designer to the record industry. If you have never visited my exhibition before, come and experience the diversity of Tony Nero with an opportunity to win an original painting. Have a go at creating your very own miniature painting. Also, a chance to do some, live drawing just for fun. I have been showing with the Peterborough Artists Open Studios for about four years now and most recently showed at Wembley Stadium in London. This year my exhibition will feature some new works from a collection of local dignitary portraits. I totally encourage everyone to come along and support local art by visiting as many of the studios as possible. To find out where other open studio artists are showing, please visit the PAOS website. 15% of any sales will be donated to the local charity Shine , to help them to continue their work supporting people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and their families. shinecharity.org.uk |

The above painting, at last now finally completed, is a winter scene from the Hollywell Ponds in Longthorpe. During the course of the exhibition this painting will be up for grabs in a raffle, with all proceeds going to Shine. |

This is the brave man who has agreed to try and sit still for about 30 minutes. Allowing visitors to the exhibition on the 16th a chance to have a go at drawing him for a bit of fun. Gobi Ranganathan, one of the UK’s top International Wheelchair Badminton Players, who is currently representing England. And now a proud Olympic Toachbearer. |
